Where is Maison L'Escale located?
Maison L'Escale is a guest house at 8, rue du Sanitas, 41000 Blois, France, in the Loire Valley (Loir-et-Cher). Blois historic centre is a 10-minute walk away and the banks of the Loire are just steps from the house.
Can I book a single room or the whole house?
Both. Each of the 6 rooms can be booked from 65 € per night for 2 to 3 guests, and the whole house can be rented exclusively for up to 12 guests from 390 € per night — ideal for families, groups of friends or company retreats.
How are the rooms equipped?
Every room (12 to 21 m²) has its own private shower room with a walk-in shower (plus a bathtub in the Harmonie room), a 140 x 190 double bed with hotel-quality bedding, a keypad smart lock, a wardrobe and a desk. Bed linen, towels, hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel are provided.
Which shared spaces are available?
A large living room and a dining room seating 12, a fully equipped kitchen (American-style fridge, oven, induction hob, dishwasher, Nespresso), a 400 m² tree-lined garden, a 60 m² terrace with barbecue, a private gym and a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Self check-in with a keypad smart lock from 5 pm (early arrival from 2 pm for €15). Check-out is before 11 am (late departure until 12 pm for €15).
Is parking easy?
Yes, free parking is available right next to the house. Public transport is a 5-minute walk away.
Is the house suited to cyclists on the Loire à Vélo route?
Yes. A secure bike storage room inside the property has sockets to charge e-bikes, and the cycle paths along the Loire, including the Loire à Vélo route, start right on the doorstep.
Are pets, parties and smoking allowed?
No. The house is entirely non-smoking, pets are not accepted and parties or events are not allowed. Quiet hours are from 11 pm to 7 am.
Which Loire châteaux can I visit from Blois?
From the house, allow about 25 minutes by car to Chambord, 30 minutes to Cheverny, 35 minutes to Chaumont-sur-Loire, 45 minutes to Amboise, 50 minutes to Chenonceau and 55 minutes to Beauval ZooParc.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes, a deposit that is not charged: €300 per room or €1,500 for the whole house. Every booking request is subject to confirmation by email.
